This is a live face-to-face class with an instructor. The class is held in Northridge California.
Live classes are held on:
– Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 9pm, or
– Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm, or
– Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
Classes run for 10 weeks (6 hours per week).
The tax course is designed to fulfill the 60 hour qualifying tax education requirement imposed by the state of California to register with CTEC (California Tax Education Council) and become a registered tax preparer that is allowed to prepare taxes in California. This Course covers topics related to the preparation of individual tax returns (both Federal form 1040 and California Form 540), the Ethics and codes of conduct for tax professional, as well as the Tax Law updates pertaining to the preparation of individual tax returns.
This is a packaged course (CTEC Course# 6239-QE-0002) which includes:
40 Hours Federal Tax Law Module.
2 Hours Federal Ethics Module.
3 Hours Federal Tax Law Updates Module.
15 Hours California Tax Law Module.

3IS Tax Services (Provider # 6239) has been approved by the California Tax Education Council to offer The 3IS Income Tax CTEC QE Course (CTEC# 6239-QE-0002), which fulfills the 60-hour “qualifying education” requirement imposed by the State of California to become a tax preparer. Who is this for?
This course is ONLY for individuals interested in learning how to prepare taxes and want to register with CTEC to prepare taxes in California.
This course is NOT for Attorneys, CPAs, EAs, Tax Preparers that do not prepare taxes in California, or registered tax preparers (CRTP) that are currently registered with CTEC.

3IS Income Tax CTEC QE Course (Course# 6239-QE-0002)
– Federal tax law (Form 1040 for individual tax returns) – 40 hours
– Ethics and codes of conduct for tax professionals – 2 hours
– Tax law updates – 3 hours
– California tax law (Form 540 for individual tax returns) – 15 hours
The are no prerequisites for this course.
Anyone can take the course for their own benefit, but in order for 3IS Tax School to submit the course credits and completion to CTEC, the student must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Social Security Number.
After 3IS Tax School submits the course credits and completion to CTEC, the student will need to go to the CTEC website at www.ctec.org and follow the steps to register with CTEC.
To register with CTEC, the student will need to:
1. Successfully complete and pass this course.
2. Obtain a PTIN number from the IRS.
3. Obtain a $5,000 prepare bond.
4. Pay the CTEC registration Fee.

Course Access, Progression, and Grading
Class attendance and participation are required.
Quizzes and exams are graded. The minimum passing grade for each quiz or exam is 70%. You are allowed a maximum of 2 attempts for each quiz or exam.

Our Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel your enrollment within 7 days of your enrollment – and before you have completed your first topic of the course – and receive a full refund of your enrollment fees.
You may cancel your enrollment after 7 days – and before you have completed 50% of the course – by notifying us. Upon receiving your notification, you will receive a 50% refund of your enrollment fees.
If you cancel after completing 50% of the course, no refunds will apply.
You must notify us of your intent to cancel your enrollment within 90 days of your enrollment to be eligible for any refunds.
